WDX has been influenced by lots of material. Clearly some was written before the idea of the Wocu was muted in 1996, and have subsequently gained new 'currency' when testing the idea, through the Wocu's Introduction and Launch.

Of course, it always useful to refer to Wikipedia... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_currency

For those interested, here are some more texts and some books that have helped shape the Wocu's formation.

Please note the Wocu idea itself is about Foreign Exchange and why it will "no longer be foreign".

WDX does not need to step into many of the debates implicit in some of these books and texts. Interesting though!

Keynes
This idea is dedicated to Keynes – this book published in 1948 is digestible. For example, "Investment rules the Roost". Succinct. The Economics of J. M Keynes by Dudley Dillard

Keynes and Bancor
Gold of a Bank... Keynes tries to help his ally.

Money
When revising or maybe even visiting the idea of Money for the first time, Honor Croome's book is a great basic resource.

Monetarism
Offering balance to a Keynesian outlook a vast array of work start with Milton Friedman.

Future of World Economies
Martin Jaques' Book has a startling title "When China Rules the World" but as underpin for the need to shake conventional models a good place to start.

The credit crunch helped raise interest in the Wocu and all stresses and strains, such as the position of the Euro and the spectre of the Dollar's demise - This spectre being identified by others, we hasten to point out. The Centre for Financial Innovation has good material on that and many other issues.

And a favourite of mine: Professor Michael Mainelli never stops; why not start catching him up here? http://www.zyen.com
